Metropolitan Clubs

Great Lakes Radio Club Inc. is based in the Great Lakes NSW region (NSW mid-north coast), centred on the twin towns of Forster-Tuncurry. The Great Lakes Radio Club was founded 1988.

VHF FM voice repeater: Input 147.7 MHz Output 147.1 MHz CTCSS 91.5 Hz. The repeater supports C4FM (receive only ... digital in, analogue FM out) and is also accessible via EchoLink at VK2RGL-R.

DMR Repeater: Input 434.775 MHz Output 439.775 MHz and is part of the extensive NSW RadNet linked repeater system.

Meetings

Meets at 7.00 pm on the last Tuesday of each month except December ... although dates may change if they conflict with public holidays, etc. Meetings are usually held at the studios/offices of Great Lakes FM Community Radio Station, 16 Douglas Avenue, Tuncurry NSW 2428

Weekly club net on the VK2RGL VHF repeater at 7:00pm local time every Monday. The repeater and net are also accessible via EchoLink at VK2RGL-R and everyone, anywhere is welcome to join us.

Training Courses And Assessment Information

Our club does not conduct formal, scheduled or classroom-style licensing courses, however, resources, guidance and assistance are available from members - ask and we will help you to get your amateur radio licence. The club has an ACMA-accredited assessor and can conduct exams for all grades of licences.
