About Geoff Atkinson
First introduced to Amateur Radio through Scouts and a Jamboree of the Air at the farm shack of Alan Trevor Rodda VK3ATR (SK)near Warracknabeal around 1960. After a short stint with PMG I joined the RAAF where I completed Radio Technician training. I joined the EMDRC at Mooroolbark and completed my AOLCP in 1972. After a career of 42 years in the electronics industry, including 9 years running my own Company, I have retired from fulltime paid employment
Radio Activities Enjoy the fellowship and comraderie of AR ops. both locally and abroad. First licenced in 1972 as VK3YFA, In March 2008 Changed callsign to VK3AFA.
Hobbies Travelling both domestically and internationally.
