About Mark Stephenson
Shortwave listener L30848 in the late 70's and first licenced in 1978, having been introduced to amateur radio through the 'missions on 160 metres from the crossband guru's, including Dave VK3ASE and the late Tony VK3AML. Many and varied career experiences in government and private sectors, qualified secondary teacher, experience in media liaison and more recently government and emergency services. 25 years service to the Country Fire Authority and supporter of WICEN.
Radio Activities Life member of the Western and Northern Suburbs Radio Club, past President and current Secretary/monthly magazine producer. Committed to furthering the hobby at "grass roots" level and a firm supporter of family orientated radio activities. Currently exploring digital modes, enjoy 6 and 10 metre activities and working on a 160 metre antenna. Now that the bench is clear getting back into construction projects.
