This weekend, September 10 and 11 the Gold Coast Amateur Radio Club will host the next WIA assessor training session. To date 93 people Australia wide have applied to become WIA assessors, a result which reflects the enthusiasm that many people in the amateur service have for the soon to be introduced Foundation Licence.

The breakdown of applicants state by state is, ACT - 3, New South Wales - 20, Victoria - 21, Queensland - 26, South Australia - 18, Western Australia 3 and Tasmania 3.

We would like to remind everyone to keep an eye on the website or an ear to the National News broadcasts for updates on progress wit the foundation licence and the new licensing arrangements for the Standard grade licences.
