After months of preparation the WIA’s much anticipated second edition Foundation Licence Manual "Your Entry Into Amateur Radio" is now off the press, ready for binding with shipment of the finished manuals expected mid next week.

“This is good news” said Phil Wait VK2DKN, WIA Director and Foundation Manual Editor. “We were expecting the second edition manual to be ready in early April but it had dropped back a couple of weeks, mainly due to the fact that we wanted everyone involved to be absolutely happy with it.”

“We think readers will be happy with it too, as it incorporates many of the comments and suggestions we received to the first edition, as well as extra pages containing information on antennas, propagation and single sideband.”

The WIA member and club price for the second edition foundation manual is $19.50

You can order a copy of the manual today with delivery to your door by placing your order through the WIA Online Bookshop. The Online Bookshop can be found under the Members area of the the WIA website. Alternately you can place your order with the WIA office. Pack and post for a single copy of the foundation manual is $6.00, cheaper if you order multiple copies of the manual or combine your order with other books purchased from the online bookshop. There is no pack and post charge for manuals picked up from the WIA office.
