Final Call For The WIA Weekend At Broken Hill

Date : 18 / 05 / 2008
Author : Robert Broomhead - VK3KRB

As bookings for the WIA 2008 AGM at Broken Hill draw to a close, we are aware that there are still some who have indicated they intend to join in the weekend, however we have not received their registration form at the WIA office. As it is necessary to finalise numbers for the events and for catering purposes, we would appreciate you sending your application form to the WIA office on Monday or by Tuesday at the latest. Registration forms are available from the link on the WIA homepage.

If you have already registered, then your registration kit for the weekend was mailed to you from the WIA office last week, you should already have received your pack, if not keep an eye out for it in Mondays mail. The registration kit includes your registration card(s), a copy of the "Program and information guide" and a copy of "Accessible Outback" the Broken Hill information guide.

As an added bonus for the AGM weekend, the Sunrasia Amateur Radio Club have extended an invitation to all Amateurs heading south after the WIA AGM, to join them in Mildura on Monday the 26th of May for the Sunraysia Radio Group Mini Hamfest. This event will include an evening bistro meal, guest speakers, sales of pre loved radio equipment and much more. During the course of the day the club will be offering tea and coffee and a guided tour of Mildura provided via Amateur Radio. So consider stopping over in Mildura after the WIA AGM. Details and updates are available on the Sunraysia Radio Group web site, http://home.vicnet.net.au/~sarg or simply click this Link

Once again, we look forward to seeing you at the WIA AGM weekend in Broken Hill.
