Home Brew Dstar Repeater

Date : 13 / 10 / 2008
Author : Robert Broomhead - VK3KRB

Members of the Weston super Mare Repeater Group in the UK have designed and built the first home brew D-Star repeater or to be more precise GMSK digital regenerator. The digital regenerator is running as GB7WB and can operate on both FM & D-Star DV. The digital regenerator / repeater is experimental and the developers expect some undocumented features to be found as the repeater is put to use.

The repeater is a work in progress and the Groups next task is to add Satoshi’s 7M3TJZ/AD6GZ D-Star board for additional functionality. It is hoped to eventually connect the repeater to the world wide D-Star network.

Photos and circuit diagrams of the digital regenerator / repeater are on the http://www.gb3we.com website, or click the following Link
