The Ipswich & District Radio Club, having just completed its VK100WIA three day roster slot is delighted at having an opportunity to contribute to the celebration of Centenary of Organised Amateur Radio in Australia. Club President Mike Charteris VK4QS says a sincere thank you to all those stations making contact with Ipswich over July 1 to 3. "Indeed, we endeavoured to work all those we actually heard within the constraints of propagation, each night till Midnight. To all those who missed out, for one reason or another, especially VK6s, we most humbly apologise," said Mike VK4QS.

"I have the highest admiration for those few members of our Club that gave their all for the sake of this once in a lifetime event in our Centenary of Amateur Radio History. "To all the Clubs that follow on, and celebrate with the VK100WIA call sign, I wish you the very best of conditions and propagation. Carry the torch high and uphold our traditions to the letter, and success will be yours."

The club, due to its station operating conditions, took paper logs of all contacts and intends to have them all loaded up to the online logging system by 5 July.
