In June the WIA Board announced the allocation of $6,000 for the current year as the maximum sum to be distributed under this year’s Club Grant Scheme.
Following discussion at and since the Open Forum at the Institute’s Annual Conference weekend, the Rules governing the Grant Scheme were revised. The test for a Grant is now for "a project to receive a Grant under these Rules it must be considered by the Grant Committee and the Board to be sufficiently useful for any one or more of amateur radio, the Affiliated Club or the WIA to justify the making of a Grant."
The new Rules are on the Affiliated Club section of the WIA website, also accessible by clicking the following Link
The Board has set the date by which applications for Grants are to be lodged by Monday 20 August 2012.
Any further enquiries should be directed to the WIA Manager, Mal Brooks VK3FDSL on 03 9729 0400 or at malb@wia.org.au.
