Radio Hams battle to get messages through council red tape

The Sydney Morning Herald reports on the battle by radio amateurs against Council regulations that restricts the type of antenna they can put up
Far from simply a backyard hobby, amateur radio can be critical during natural disasters yet the council currently insists permission must be sought to erect aerials more than 1.8 metres above roof level, which can require an onerous development application.
