Calling all geeks, nerds, DIYers and radio amateurs: the 2015 Sydney Mini Maker Faire, celebrating the creativity, inventiveness and resourcefulness of the Maker movement, returns to the Powerhouse Museum over the weekend of 15 and 16 August.
This year, the Faire is an event of the inaugural Sydney Science Festival – "11 days of stellar talks, events, exhibitions and fun science activities for all ages", according to the promo website. The Festival runs from 13 to 23 August.
The Mini Maker Faire will be highlighting new processes and other innovations across science and technology, as well as in design, engineering and manufacturing, and even the creative and decorative arts; all activities familiar to radio amateurs as ‘homebrew’ (of the hardware/software kind, as opposed to the liquid kind).
The Mini Maker Faire runs from 10am through 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
