Held at Kyneton on Sunday 22 April this new event was attended by more than 550 and has won plenty of accolades.
The scale and scope of the RadioFest is something not seen before in Victoria and has plenty of people talking.
The commercial traders were very happy. Graham Robinson and Mark Atkinson of Bushcomm said it was "Australia's best organised event and we'll be back next year."
Kiyoshi Fukushima of Vertex Standard described it as much better than another major event interstate (withheld). Strictly Ham's Ross Keogh particularly liked the Traders Hall that was not cramped for space and the Event Team support.
Similar comments were made by the other traders - TTS Systems, G&C Communications, Hamak Electrical, PK Loops, CRO-Tek and Ripple-Tech.
WIA President, Michael Owen VK3KI described the RadioFest as 'excellent' and congratulated the organisers on a job well done.
A lot of the credit goes to these hard-working volunteers from Amateur Radio Victoria, Central Goldfields Amateur Radio Club and the Midland Amateur Radio Club.
Thanks too to Terry Murphy VK3UP and his Dipole DIY Factory, Jack Braham VK3WWW and ARDF Victoria with come'n try sniffer hunts, WICEN (Vic), Scout Radio and Electronics Service Unit, the Royal Signals Museum and the mini-lecturer providers.
