2007 RD Contest Rules Released

All is now in place for the 2007 RD contest thanks to the efforts of the contest manager Peter Harding VK4OD.

Last year there was significant participation from all states, with many newly licensed Foundation calls having a great time on the air. This years contest starts on Saturday the 11th August at 0800 hours utc and runs through to 0759 utc on Sunday the 12th August.

Both the audited 2006 contest results and the new 2007 contest rules along with associated documents have been posted to the RD Contest Page here on the WIA website. A copy of this years rules will also be published in the July edition of AR Magazine.

For those who use computer logging programs, in preparation for this years contest, you are encouraged to check that you have the latest version as outdated programs can cause issues for the contest manager when checking the logs. Links to the most common RD logging applications have been included in the contest instructions.

Once again we are looking forward to this years RD Contest being a major amateur radio event for 2007.
