The WIA attended the Gippsland Gate Radio & Electronics Club Hamfest held at Cranbourne on Saturday 18 July.
President Michael Owen VK3KI, Secretary Geoff Atkinson VK3AFA and Director Peter Young VK3MV were present on the morning and met and spoke with the many amateurs who came past the WIA trading table. Many took advantage of the opportunity to purchase books from the WIA bookshop as well as merchandise items such as shirts, caps & badges.
A number of amateurs were signed up to membership of the WIA, which is always an encouraging result.
It was a brisk morning trade, with many amateurs passing around the hall looking for bargains and additions to the shack equipment.
