Local Australian pirate radio network appears on 20 meters

Date : 06 / 01 / 2005
Author : Glen Dunstan - VK4DU

It has been reported that a number of what appears to be short haul truck drivers are using 14.000 MHz USB as a chat channel.

The stations appear to be located on the Queensland or northern NSW coast and operate spasmodically throughout the day.

20 meter operators are asked to monitor 14.000 MHz and report any information that might assist in identifying these stations to WIA Director Glenn Dunstan VK4DU on e-mail vk4du@hf.ro
