Changes to the Licensing Conditions in the Czech Republic

Milos Prostecky, OK1MP, IARU Liaison officer of the Czech Radio Club reports that from May 1st, 2005 the Czech Republic will be altering the Electronics Communications Law. Changes include access to 7100 MHz - 7200 MHz for the amateur service. Operation is as a secondary service with output limited to 250 watts PEP. A new Novice Class license will be available using the OK9 prefix and 3 letters suffix. Operation is restricted to 160, 80, 15, 10 meters and 144 MHz. The maximum allowable power is 10 Watts.
