The second Ofcom Report on Crieff BPL Test – Confirms very high BPL interference and poor frequency notching.

The UK regulator Ofcom have released a new report on BPL radiation from high voltage overhead power lines in Crieff , UK . This report demonstrates an interference level 20db above that previously measured in Crieff when using underground power lines and at a level significantly exceeding FCC part 15 limits.

The report also shows effective notching of only about 23dB, and although some strong 21MHz broadcast signals were uncovered in a notch placed over the 21MHz SW broadcast band, what is more telling is the stations that were not uncovered.

Amperion themselves submitted this report to the FCC. Why would Amperion would submit such a clearly damaging report that shows that their notching is poor and that they exceeded the FCC limits?

The report is avaliable in pdf format at (PDF file is 1mb): via teh following Link
