Keigo Komuro, JA1KAB Secretary IARU Region 3, reports that at the 2005 IARU Region 3 meeting held in Bangalore on October 5 - 7, 2005, the Region 3 Directors appointed Mr. Jim Linton VK3PC as the temporary Chairman of the IARU Region 3 Disaster Communications Committee. Jim's term of office will be until the 13th IARU Region 3 Conference at Bangalore, India, to be held sometime in 2006.
