IARU Region 3 Conference Starts Tomorrow

The Korean Amateur Radio League (KARL) is hosting the 17th International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) Region 3 Conference being held in Seoul, Korea from the 10th to 14th September 2018.

The venue for the conference in Seoul is the Hotel PJ Myeong-Dong. There is a special event station setup in the hotel and Greg Kelly VK2GPK has sent through a picture of the special event station (see picture accompanying this story).

Greg Kelly VK2GPK WIA Vice President is the WIA Delegate and Dale Hughes VK1DSH is the WIA Observer at the conference.

Also attending is Peter Young VK3MV who is a Director of the IARU Region 3 Conference.

There are 74 attendees at the conference representing Region 1, Region 2 and Region3 societies.

There is a comprehensive agenda that includes three items from the WIA that cover - Evolution of Spectrum Management, Amateur Radio for Kids and Australia's EmComm contribution in the South Pacific. Another interesting agenda item is from the NZART on Youth activities in IARU R3.
