Epic VK Microwave Tour and ICOM Sponsorship

The kickoff of the WIA AGM for 2019 begins in 2 weeks on the 26th of May at the ParkRoyal, Darling Harbour

Join David Minchin, VK5KK as he takes us on an epic VK Microwave Tour. This tour, conducted in late 2018 took David and others on a 5800km journey around Australia working the millimeter bands in VK1, VK2, VK3, and VK4. David was first licenced in 1975 and has always been focused on "VHF and above". David has been active on the microwave bands since 1979 and is currently active on all bands from 1.296MHz to 122 GHz and 10GHz EME. David has presented twice, in 2015 and 2016 at the SDR Academy in Germany and is on his second stint as editor of the VHF column in AR Magazine. He currently works in the Alternative Energy industry and sits on 3 related Australian Standards technical committees.

It would not be a WIA Conference without our friends at Icom helping out with a cool piece of kit as a prize. ICOM and RF Solutions have come to the party by sponsoring the event with an IC-7300 to be drawn as a prize.
