If you participate in WIA contests, chances are you've already come across VKLogChecker. This valuable community resource supports seven of the ten WIA contests and provides an easy way for contest entrants to check and validate their logs before submission.
What many amateurs may not realise is that the website also provides access to several useful tools developed by Peter Richardson VK2PR. These include an ADIF to Cabrillo Converter for preparing contest logs and QSO Mapper, which helps visualise your contacts and operating achievements.
VKLogChecker also includes a handy Maidenhead Locator lookup feature. Simply find your location on the map and the website will calculate your Maidenhead grid square. This is particularly useful for distance-based contests such as the WIA VHF and Above Field Day, where accurate locator information is essential for scoring.
Whether you're a seasoned contester or just getting started, VKLogChecker offers a collection of practical tools that can make contesting and station operation that little bit easier.
